Hi, I am Sascha, the owner of Idyhaven.
I first fell in love with the town of Idyllwild and its community in 2018.
Located in the San Bernardino National Forest, set amongst tall pines and sweet-smelling cedars, it was the perfect place to rest and retreat. My first stay was so unforgettable that I kept thinking about Idyllwild and found myself wanting my very own cabin.
The search began, and after looking at many beautiful cabins in the area, I settled on Double View Drive
This cabin has been a labor of love for me, and it is now a sanctuary where I rest and reconnect with nature. I hope you will enjoy the peace and fresh air of the San Jacinto mountains, just as I did on my memorable first visit, and come back often.
I wanted to make sure that the connection I felt with nature on my visit to Idyllwild was ever-present in my cabin. To honor its beautiful surroundings, I set out to ensure Idyhaven would be as sustainable and environmentally friendly as possible.
At the beginning of my research, I discovered how many ecologically responsible options exist for those who want to build and live with caring for the environment in mind.
For nearly two years I worked closely with the local authorities in Riverside County, mindfully re-designing and renovating the cabin and grounds. Learning about the emerging eco-technologies lit my passion, adopting a more earth-friendly lifestyle, and encouraging others to do the same.
My goal with Idyhaven is to inspire my guests, new friends, and community members to make the switch to a more sustainable way to vacation and to live.
