One mile high, Idylwild is a micro-climate, making all who visit distinctly aware of Mother Nature and her many gifts to us.

Idyhaven, is truly my haven. When I first found my Cabin I was flabbergasted by its spectacular view of Marion Mountain.

I fell in love with Idyllwild on my first visit, as do most people who visit this special town. Nature is abundant here and having witnessed so many visitors enjoying this unique environment over the years, I am determined to give back by embracing a carbon-neutral approach. My cabin has solar panels and energy-saving appliances. I installed a drinking-water filtration system to actively encourage all guests to avoid bringing single-use plastic to the mountains, which also provides additional water to the garden and grounds In line with this approach, the housekeeping crew uses only biodegradable products and laundry detergent, I also provide vegan, cruelty-free amenities for my guests during their stay.

Idyhaven is not just a luxury retreat, but an ecological project. I am continually working to make the cabin as sustainable as possible.

— Solar Powered

I installed Solar Panels and Tesla power walls making the cabin energy efficient and able to run off-grid when needed.

— Filtered Water

The Reverse Osmosis System provides purified drinking water for all guests and the wildlife on the property. I hope to inspire my guests to avoid bringing single-use plastic bottles to the mountain and Idyhaven.

Reverse Osmosis System

— Recycled Water

By reclaiming and recycling the water from the reverse osmosis syst I provide a cost-effective way to upkeep my garden, whilst keeping the trees happy and helping to prevent wildfires.

— Upgrading Idyhaven

Renovating the cabin took two years. During that time I worked closely with the local community to find the best solutions to protect the environment.
